At FirstCare we have a large team of Nurses who provide a telephone triage service, medical advice and set interventions for a safe and timely return to health & work. They are experienced and highly skilled and are a valuable part of team FirstCare. As such on International Nurses Day we choose to celebrate and thank them for their hard work. Due to the Call Centre being busiest on a Monday we have decided to hold our celebrations a few days early.
The main part of the day is the launch of our updated Clinical Governance Management System which is a 14 part framework to ensure that we provide the highest standard of care to our patients. We are also updating our Basic Life Support Training (CPR Skills), we are holding a health and well-being day for all of our colleagues. Plus we know how to have some fun so there is a baby photo quiz as well as goodies, a special lunch and a celebration cake. I am so proud of the team, they are dedicated to their work and truly care about their callers. They are also a great support network for each other and a pleasure to work with.
